ACTUAL Experts Conduite sur Route is recruiting a Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Waste Collection Driver (M/F) for one of its clients, a major and recognized player in waste recycling and recovery. Behind the wheel of a modern and technical vehicle, you play a central role for the community and the environment.

Your daily life: Public utility, technique, and rigor

Working in pairs with your collection team members (loaders), you drive your routes with efficiency and kindness:

Collection & Routes: Ensure the driving of the HGV waste collection truck to carry out the collection of household and similar waste according to the schedule defined by operations.

Equipment mastery: Check the proper functioning of onboard systems (container lifters, compactors, hydraulic systems) before and during the route.

Precision maneuvers: Perform frequent stops and delicate maneuvers (reversing, narrow streets) in complete safety for your team and road users.

Regulations & Sorting: Strictly apply sorting instructions, collection procedures, and all road and health safety rules.

Rigorous monitoring: Complete your onboard documents (roadmaps, reports of anomalies or non-compliance of bins).

The ideal profile for this position

Your essentials (prerequisites):

You hold a valid C license.

Your FIMO/FCO goods qualification and your driver card are valid.

Previous experience in driving waste collection trucks or urban delivery/courier services is an asset, but motivated beginners interested in environmental professions are welcome.

Your technical & field skills:

Mastery of urban driving: You are particularly comfortable with large dimensions in narrow streets, dead ends, and facing street furniture.

Sense of mechanics and hydraulics: You quickly assimilate the operation of compaction controls and container lifters to ensure the good condition of the equipment.

Trajectory management: Frequent stops (stop-and-go) and repeated reversing are part of your daily life and are mastered to the millimeter.

A 04:15 AM start time fits your lifestyle. You are vigilant and fully operational from the moment you are hired.

Team spirit & local management: At the wheel, you are responsible for the safety of the collection team members (loaders) at the back of the truck. You communicate with kindness and coordination.
