Committed to the energy transition in shipping, and a pioneer in the use of alternative fuels, the CMA CGM Group has set a target to become Net Zero Carbon by 2050.

Through the CMA CGM Foundation, the Group acts in humanitarian crises that require an emergency response by mobilizing the Group’s shipping and logistics expertise to bring humanitarian supplies around the world.

Present in 160 countries through its network of more than 400 offices and 750 warehouses, the Group employs more than 155,000 people worldwide, including 4,000 in Marseilles where its head office is located.

THE ROLE:

Support strategic decision-making at the heart of a global group. As Project Management Officer supporting CMA CGM’s Group Deputy CFO, you will contribute to high-impact financial and strategic initiatives across the Group’s businesses, with exposure to senior leadership and international projects.

In an entrepreneurial environment shaped by international growth, digitalisation, innovation and investment in industrial assets, you will help address a broad range of Finance challenges across diverse business models, from asset-intensive operations to people-intensive activities and infrastructure.

Combining financial analysis, project coordination and executive communication, this role offers the opportunity to turn complex topics into actionable insights and help drive strategic priorities forward. It also provides a strong foundation for further career development within Finance and across the Group internationally.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Partner with the Group Deputy CFO to prepare, prioritise and execute key financial and strategic initiatives.

Support the Group’s financial trajectory through performance management and business planning processes.

Develop analyses and recommendations on strategic, financial and operational topics to inform decision-making.

Monitor macroeconomic, industry and competitive developments and assess their implications for the Group.

Prepare clear, compelling executive presentations, briefing notes and decision materials for senior management.

Translate complex and sometimes incomplete information into clear insights, actionable recommendations and well-supported conclusions.

Track key decisions and commitments, ensuring clear ownership and timely follow-through.

Anticipate issues and potential roadblocks, proposing practical solutions and escalating when needed.

Contribute to data, automation and artificial intelligence initiatives that enhance financial analysis, decision-making and Finance efficiency.

Coordinate with Finance teams, Business Units and other Group functions to support cross-functional collaboration.

Support the Group Deputy CFO on confidential, high-priority and time-sensitive assignments.

PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong academic credentials or an equivalent record of professional achievement.

At least six years of experience in strategy, finance, consulting or a demanding international corporate environment.

An international mindset and experience working in an international environment.

Strong problem-solving skills and a practical, solution-oriented approach.

A solid financial background.

A structured, rigorous approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively at all levels of the organisation.

Adaptability and flexibility in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.

Full professional fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.

A strong desire to learn and develop your career within the Group.

Come along on CMA CGM’s adventure !
