We are LSP – Light Sensors & Photonics, one of three business units within ams OSRAM, advancing the digitalization of light. At LSP, we go beyond traditional sensing—combining light, silicon, and system expertise to enable digital photonics solutions. Our focus is clear: powering next-generation applications in data centers, AR/VR, mobile and automotive, where light becomes a critical interface for data, perception, and interaction. This evolution marks a shift from components to integrated photonics systems —driving performance, scalability, and innovation in high-growth segments.

Develop and maintain process control plans for optical filter fabrication processes (e.g., coating, lithography, etching, inspection)

Monitor key process indicators (KPIs) and ensure effective Statistical Process Control (SPC) to detect deviations and initiate corrective actions

Act as quality representative in risk assessments and boards (e.g., MRB, PCRB), ensuring robust decision-making for optical filter processes

Lead and participate in structured problem-solving (e.g., 8D) to identify root causes of process-related quality issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

Support internal and external audits, including customer audits and certification requirements (ISO / IATF compliance where applicable)

Collaborate with process and yield engineering teams to identify key yield detractors (e.g., particle contamination, coating uniformity, pattern deviations) and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defect density and enhance product yield

Maintain accurate documentation of quality procedures, specifications, and process changes specific to optical filter production

Interface with R&D, production, and customer quality teams to ensure smooth transfer and ramp-up of new optical filter processes and technologies

Successfully completed master’s degree in materials science, physics, or chemistry

Initial experience in the semiconductor industry, especially in quality, is an advantage

Good knowledge of quality methods and tools (e.g., change management, SPC, FDC, FMEA, DOE) and their reliable application in manufacturing

Ability to analyze data and communicate insights across functions

Excellent analytical problem-solving skills, ability to present oneself confidently, and assertiveness

Ability to collaborate with multinational teams

Quality-oriented mindset

Fluent in German and English (spoken and written)
