Waste sorting operator (M/F)

For our client, a specialist in the management and treatment of hazardous and industrial waste, our temp agency is looking for a Sorting Operator / Dock Operator (M/F).

Within a specialized industrial site, you play an essential role in the reception, sorting, and securing of special waste flows.

Your daily missions

Reception & Unloading: Receive, unload, and check the compliance of waste flows arriving at the platform / dock.

Sorting & Identification: Identify, sort, and direct industrial and hazardous waste according to their categories (drums, containers, bulk, etc.) and their associated risks.

Handling & Machine Operation: Handle, stack, and move pallets, bins, and drums using handling equipment (forklifts, pallet trucks).

Packaging: Palletize, repack, and consolidate flows for shipment or recovery.

Safety & Cleanliness: Rigorously apply safety instructions, the wearing of PPE, and environmental/chemical standards, while keeping the dock clean and tidy.

The profile sought & CACES

Experience: Successful first experience in an industrial environment, logistics platform, or sorting/waste center.

CACES / Machinery: CACES R489 Category 3 (Front-loading forklifts): Highly appreciated / Recommended for handling loads and unloading trucks.

CACES R489 Categories 1A / 1B (Ride-on pallet trucks) or R482 / R484 (Construction machinery / Overhead cranes): A real plus for the position.

Know-how: Sensitivity to chemical risks, safety instructions (ADR/PPE standards), and working in an industrial environment. Soft skills: Rigorous, dynamic, punctual, you have team spirit and place absolute priority on safety.
